t is a broad spectrum organophosphate systemic, insecticide having systemic, contact and stomach mode of action.  Dimethoate is a cholinesterase inhibitor affecting the central and peripheral nervous system producing depression. It is used against a wide range of insects and is good for the management of sucking pests and mites.  It also has miticidal activity.
